Audience and Aim: For all practitioners and childminders working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage. This will increase staff knowledge of developing mathematical skills for young children and plan a mathematical environment.

The purpose of this course is to help Providers understand in more detail the Department for Education’s (DfE) expectations about how the free entitlements for two-, three- and four-year-olds should be delivered. We will cover: 15 hour entitlement for the most disadvantaged two-year- olds: 15 hour entitlement for parents of three- and four- year-olds (the universalentitlement); and 30 hour entitlement for working parents of three- and four-year-olds (the extended entitlement).

This course aims to support all early years practitioners working with children aged 0-5 years, to understand the latest guidance on the toilet training process – exploring information from the NHS and ERIC guidelines, including how to support children in the setting and how to support parents with the process at home.
