The 2015 SEND Code of Practice contains details of the legal requirements and statutory guidance that education professionals must follow regarding children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This SEND Code training is a five-module course providing an overview of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice 0-25 years.

The 2015 SEND Code of Practice is the official guide for those who work with children who have special education needs and disabilities (SEND). This online SEND Code training course is made up of 5 modules, providing 4 hours of CPD training, and is suitable for those in the education sector, including local authorities (e.g. education, social care or employment), governing bodies of schools or further education colleges, early years providers and local health boards
The aim of this SEND Code of Practice course is to greater increase your knowledge of SEND, as well as the relevant legislation.
This five-module course provides four CPD hours, and comprehensively covers:
- Module 1: The Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice: 0-25 years
- Module 2: Establishing effective partnerships across education, health and care
- Module 3: Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessments and Plans
- Module 4: Maintaining and reviewing the EHC Plan
- Module 5: Children and young people in specific circumstances
